Private Leroy Pinkett was born on February 23, 1894 (His WW1 Draft Registration card listed his birthdate as June 1895) in Maryland. His parents were Thomas H. Pinkett and Lula Cuff. He was married to Viola Rawlings. Private Pinkett left the second grade at thirteen years of age. His initial sentence was reduced to thirty years and remitted in 1935. Private Pinkett received parole on June 3, 1927.
