Private Norman B. Holland was born in St. Louis Missouri on March 29, 1890. His parents were King Cain Holland and Jennie B. Cooper. His wife was Evelyn Holland. They had three children, Alfred, Cecile and Lavetta. Private Holland attended the 4th grade and quit school at the age of sixteen. Private Holland enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 17, 1912. His sentence was reduced to 24 years.
