Private Richard Lewis was born in Pennsylvania on February 21, 1897. His parents were David Lewis and Sarah Watson. Private Lewis was sentenced to Life Imprisonment at Hard Labor. His sentence was later reduced to 30 years and he was paroled in 1927.
